“No Muss, No Fuss!” It Works for Us…
We cover your carpet and your stairs with canvas tarps before any equipment comes through the door. No dirty footprints on your floors. No greasy equipment marks on your stairs. No raw sewage dripped or tracked through your home. Period.
We have found it is much better to cover up than clean up.

The tarps are not bed sheets
A painter’s drop cloth soaks through. What comes out of a sewer line is not paint, and plain canvas will pass it straight onto the carpet underneath.
Ours are poly-backed — canvas on top, a plastic layer underneath — so nothing reaches your floor through the tarp. That plastic layer is also slip resistant, which matters more than it sounds on a basement staircase with a machine coming down it.
We buy them by the case and keep the vans stocked. That is deliberate. A tarp is only any use if there is always a good one to hand, and the day a crew is down to its last one is the day the standard starts to slip.

A dirty jobsite is an unsafe jobsite
That is the real reason, and it isn’t really about your carpet.
Our technicians make sure their shoes are clean on every job. If a job starts making a mess, we stop and clean it up as we go rather than leaving the whole lot until the end. Not because it looks better — because a floor with water and grit on it is a floor somebody slips on, carrying a machine, on stairs, in a basement.
This company does not tolerate a mess. The tidy house you get at the end is a by-product of the way the work has to be done in order to be done safely.

When the job is finished
When we finish a mainline sewer run we always clean and check your main floor drain.
We clean up our worksite, and we will help by rinsing and wiping down backed-up tubs, sinks, showers and toilets. A clogged drain or a sewer backup makes a real mess on its own, long before anybody arrives with a machine.
Who you’re getting
After 12 years of working for other companies, we started Our Drain and Sewer Company. We are drain technicians with over 50 years combined experience and more than 25,000 completed jobs, and we only do maintenance — we don’t replace sewer lines and we don’t dig.
